WPC Energy UK National Committee
We are a network of professionals that promotes the UK as a centre of excellence for the energy industry.
Our programme of activities focuses on:
- Fostering energy knowledge exchange in the UK
- Organising the UK's presence at the WPC Energy Congress and conferences, including workshops, round tables, Ministerial sessions
- Staging workshops and symposia in the UK on themes of interest to the UK energy industry
- Supporting activities of the UK young energy professionals
We work closely with other organisations, institutes and associations in an open, collaborative and transparent way.
Committee members may represent any energy field and may typically come from companies, academia, government, professional institutes, associations or agencies.

About WPC Energy
WPC Energy is a non-advocacy, non-political organisation with charitable status in the UK and has accreditation as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) from the United Nations (UN). WPC Energy is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable management and use of the world’s energy resources for the benefit of all.
WPC Energy facilitates dialogue amongst all stakeholders to find answers to key technical, social, environmental and management issues facing the industry, in order to provide affordable energy for all and contribute towards sustainable growth.
The WPC Energy’s 60 member countries represent over 96% of the world’s energy consumption and production.
WPC Energy conducts the WPC Energy Congress, covering all aspects of the industry including management of the industry and its social, economic and environmental impact.
The WPC Energy Congress with a typical attendance of over 15,000, provides a neutral and inclusive platform to debate and define realistic, workable paths to a net zero future. The event brings together thought leaders from across the global energy industry including Heads of State, Ministers, CEOs, Presidents and Heads of International Organisations, as well as engineers, academics and the NGO community.
The 25th Congress will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 26-30 April 2026, under the theme of 'Pathways to an Energy Future for All'.
